Playname : King of the boards

Purpose: A 12 inch board painted cougar green and sealed to be water proof and slippery is a great thing. This teaches great drive blocking, leverage, and determination. This is one on one combat.
Equipment: Cougar board. Procedure: I prefer tournament style competition where each match is best of 3. Winner stays on and challenges the next man. The objective is to get the other man to step over the board, fall down, or be driven off the end of the board. Coaching tips: 1 yard between contestants and switch sides between bouts. This is a great drill to see who is mentally and physically tougher. Coaching the players: Low man wins, quick hands, run your feet, short choppy steps, wide base, etc etc. |
